Job Description:
Assistant Branch Manager Position Primary Purpose:
To support the Branch Manager by overseeing the operations in the branch, demonstrating core values, and leading the team in all aspects of service, day-to-day operations and sales.

Responsibilities:
Assists with employment, training, scheduling, motivating, evaluating, accountability and retaining quality staff.
Participates in training/skill building to close gaps and build proficiencies.
Follows prescribed coaching processes, frequencies and documentation.
Leads the team to deliver the expected service behaviors and results.
Schedules according to forecasts, uses the scheduling tools and follows scheduling expectations.
Leads team to deliver the expected relationship deepening behaviors and results; lobby leading, teller referrals and conversation catchers.
Knows, models and coaches the NWCU standard expectations for core teller and MSS competencies.
Interacts frequently with employees and members throughout the day; provides staff members a positive, professional role model of member service and sales through personal example.
Provides guidance of personnel activities to ensure solid team efforts toward the attainment of Branch and Credit Union goals.
Leads team to perform required operational and risk control processes and inspections to protect our members and employees.
Completes certifications as required.
Looks for opportunities to mitigate risk beyond the required processes.
Ensures personnel adherence to policies and procedures.
Uses effective and efficient cost control methods to control operating costs.
Meets FTE targets.
Conducts ongoing analysis of branch work flows and activities for the purpose of recommending improvements and more efficient processes.
Answers difficult questions, explains specific policies and procedures, and solves complex problems for members and staff.
All other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications Previous
Experience:
Two or more years of progressive lead or entry level supervisory experience within a financial institution to have gained experience and knowledge leading operational functions and dealing effectively with employee and member relations.
Education:
A bachelors degree in business administration or related field preferred.
Equivalent work experience in business management may substitute for the degree.
Demonstrated Abilities:
Ability to train, motivate, and supervise employees, and to maintain an effective schedule of work flow within the branch.
Ability to inspect, coach, teach and hold staff accountable to behavior and process expectations.
Comfortable with role playing (practicing).
Ability to relate management goals and objectives to budgets and action plans, focusing on increasing profitability while maintaining superior member service.
The ability to inspire and successfully lead teams through change.
Ability to make decisions, take action, and accept responsibility for results.
Sound familiarity with credit unions savings, checking, and lending policies and guidelines, as well as specific loan programs, qualifications, insurance, etc.
, to provide full savings and loan services.
The interpersonal skills necessary to represent the Credit Union in a professional, friendly, business-like manner.
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in interpreting policies and procedures, dealing effectively with upset members and staff, and making exceptions as required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
